Kayak Safari - Previous experience required

Join us for this fun session to see wildlife from a canoe in the sheltered environment of Chichester Harbour.  You will learn the basic skills of canoeing from qualified instructors. Bring extra footwear to get wet and a change of clothes just in case. Please complete the consent form available from the Cobnor Activities Centre website www.cobnor.com/downloads/ before the activity.
Fee: £23 to include all equipment

OYSTER TRIPS on Solar Heritage
With a guest speaker.  These trips are funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund to enable the Emsworth Museum to tell the story of the famous oyster industry of Emsworth.
Fee: free
BOOKING ON 01243 513275. There may be some spaces available on the day
Meet: by the public jetty, halfway along the Promenade, 15 minutes before the trip departure time.
Park in the pay and display car park in South Street PO10 7AQ or North Street (allow two hours) or you can park free of charge in the Bridge Road car park.  Walk down South Street and onto The Promenade (Quay Wall).

Harbour Creekies Walk: Cobnor Point 

A gentle walk in Chichester Harbour countryside to enjoy the views and fresh air. Today we have arranged to meet at Cobnor to take a stroll of about 1½ km (1 mile) along the wheelchair path to Cobnor Point, taking time to observe the shoreline realignment works.
Fee: £1 on the day

High Tide Roosts at North Common and Gutner Point

A stroll along North Common to look for migrant birds and an opportunity to transfer to Hampshire County Council’s restricted access nature reserve at Gutner Point to view the high tide roost. With Pete Potts, Senior Hampshire Ranger. Bring binoculars. No dogs please.
Fee: £4 on the day

Birds in Close Up

Hear from wildlife enthusiast John Arnott about how the birds in the Harbour are identified, including snippets about anatomy, calls and rings.  Hear about the monthly   harbour bird counts that contribute to a national initiative called WeBS.

Harbour Hares Walk: Thorney Island

Monthly fast-paced walk in the Chichester Harbour area. Today we will take a 14km (9mile) walk around the shoreline of Thorney Island from Emsworth. Please note that the path is quite worn and uneven in places. Bring a packed lunch and snacks.

Autumn Craft for Families

Join us for some fun autumn crafts using natural materials found in the Chichester Harbour area. Make an oak gall or acorn family, some painted  leaf animals, a leafy hedgehog picture or some glittery leaves for Christmas decorations.  All materials supplied.  Bring a container to take your treasures home with you.
