Sat 1 June - Wild Flower Series: Session 2 - Wetland Meadows  
7pm / 2 hours
Second of four sessions taking time to look for and identify the wild flowers in the company of natural history enthusiast John Arnott. This session based in our wetland field area of Fishbourne Meadows. No dogs.
Fee: £4 on the day.
Meet: Fishbourne Parish Church car park, off A259. Free parking.

Sun 2 June - Thorney Island Walk
10am / 5 hours
A 9 mile (14km) walk around the shoreline of Thorney Island from Emsworth. Please note that the path is quite worn and uneven in places. Bring a packed lunch and snacks.

Tue 4 June - Emsworth Trail Walk
6pm / 2 hours
A stroll around Emsworth hearing about the history of the local buildings and the old oyster industry. With Linda Newell of Emsworth Maritime and Historical Trust.
Fee: £5 on the day (includes £3 to Emsworth Museum)
Meet: by Emsworth Museum, North Street, above the fire station

Wed 5 June – Cruise with the XBoats on the Solar Heritage
6pm / 1.5 hours
Sail alongside the classic Xboats. An expert speaker will talk about the history of these fine craft and explain the racing tactics as you watch the excitement unfold. Afterwards join the crews at Itchenor Sailing Club for a drink or evening meal.

10am / 3.5 hours
We will meet at Fishbourne Roman Palace museum for a talk from museum staff on finds found in the Chichester Harbour area then we will leave for a two mile walk along the Chichester Harbour shoreline, stopping at points of Roman interest, finishing at the Chichester Harbour Education Centre at Dell Quay where we will enjoy complimentary refreshments before returning to the Palace by minibus.

Tue 18 June - Introduction to Chichester Harbour and Solar Boat Trip
6:30pm / 1.5 hours
A welcome reception and brief introduction to Chichester Harbour and the work of the Conservancy before taking an hour’s evening cruise in the harbour on board our solar powered boat. Dress warmly. Organised by Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

Thur 20 June - World War II Film Event
2pm / 1 hour
Come along to view our film based on the 1940 diary of teenager Strahan Soames which documents the battles taking place overhead and how they affected his family and friends. The diary has been used as source material for a short film written and produced by students at Havant College. Join us to find out more about the making of the film, view the film and then take time to chat and share your memories or family stories. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Fri 21 June – Longest Day Cruise on the Solar Heritage
8pm / 1.5 hours
Relax onboard as we celebrate the longest day of the year and watch the sun set over Chichester Harbour. Bring a picnic (no glass) or enjoy a meal at a nearby pub afterwards.

Take a leisurely stroll towards Emsworth and back with local art teacher Simon Cowper. Explore a range of sketching techniques as we pause to record the landscape, boats and buildings along the way. Bring a sketchbook and drawing materials. For all abilities.

A chance to stroll around Hampshire Council Council’s restricted access nature reserve at Sandy Point on Hayling Island looking for and identifying the distinctive plants of this protected coastal heath and sand dune area. With Pete Potts, Senior Hampshire Countryside Ranger.
