Sat 1 June - Wild Flower Series: Session 2 - Wetland Meadows\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>

\nSecond of four sessions taking time to look for and identify the wild flowers in the company of natural history enthusiast John Arnott. This session based in our wetland field area of Fishbourne Meadows. No dogs.

Sun 2 June - Thorney Island Walk<\/strong>

\nA 9 mile (14km) walk around the shoreline of Thorney Island from Emsworth. Please note that the path is quite worn and uneven in places. Bring a packed lunch and snacks.

\nWe will meet at Fishbourne Roman Palace museum for a talk from museum staff on finds found in the Chichester Harbour area then we will leave for a two mile walk along the Chichester Harbour shoreline, stopping at points of Roman interest, finishing at the Chichester Harbour Education Centre at Dell Quay where we will enjoy complimentary refreshments before returning to the Palace by minibus.

\nCome along to view our film based on the 1940 diary of teenager Strahan Soames which documents the battles taking place overhead and how they affected his family and friends. The diary has been used as source material for a short film written and produced by students at Havant College. Join us to find out more about the making of the film, view the film and then take time to chat and share your memories or family stories. Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
