A second\u00a0group of communities\u00a0is being given the opportunity to explore new powers to test out neighbourhood planning. This radical idea\u00a0is\u00a0being introduced in the Localism Bill, and is intended to give people the\u00a0chance to\u00a0decide how development will look in their area.<\/p>\n

Communities will have the final say in shaping the vision for their community and deciding whether a local plan comes into force.\u00a0Community groups and individuals may get free expert advice and guidance on all aspects of engaging with the planning system from four organisations who are supported by the Department for Communities and Local Government:<\/p>\n
