West Wittering Flood Banks

The Environment Agency have now started work on site to build the new flood defence at West Wittering. Once completed it will provide a better level of protection from flooding to 55 properties, the local school and the pumping station. The new defence will look similar to the one that is there now, but it will be taller and wider. The defence will be made out of earth and clay with rocks protecting the wet side.
