RIBA Sandcastle Challenge 2012

The Love Sandcastle Challenge will be held on Saturday 18th August at the award-winning West Wittering Blue Flag beach. The competition is being organised by RIBA, the Royal Institute of British architects, and is open to everyone who would like to create a sandcastle on an architectural theme.

The event is free to enter but you MUST register with Shelagh Ferriman by 10th August at the following email address: shelagh.ferriman@riba.org. Or by phone: 0118 9874900.

Registration is free, however there is a small fee of £7.50 for car parking

Participants need to be there from 9.30am and the competition starts at 10.30am. Judging will take place at 1.30pm when prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

Tallest Sand Structure

Most Technically Daring

Best Overall Scheme

People's Choice
