Kate Hampson, Visitor Services Warden, would like to tell you more about what's happening at Pagham Harbour.

Pagham Harbour - giving nature a home for 50 years!

2014 is the 50th year since the designation of Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve. We will be running special events throughout the year to mark this landmark occasion, and we are keen to involve as many people as possible in the celebrations. We are looking for you to share your stories of the harbour - personal tales, fond memories, and historical source material such as letters, photos, documents, to build a useful and interesting archive. We will then look to use the information as the basis for special projects which could include a public exhibition, an aural history, an interactive web-based timeline, the production of a leaflet marking our 50 years and so on. We hope to encourage collaborative research and discussion between staff, volunteers and the communities around the reserve to paint a colourful and informative picture of the harbour. How will you contribute? For more information, or to get involved call Kate Hampson on 01243 641508 or email Pagham.harbour@rspb.org.uk
