Chichester Harbour Events

There are loads of events being taking place in and around Chichester Harbour, starting this December and continuing  into the new year. Why not join Chichester Harbour Conservancy and their experienced wildlife specialists to watch the winter migrants in Chichester Harbour from the Solar Boat? For information about who to contact, what is costs and where to meet, please see below.

Fri 7 – Sun 9 Dec Earth, Air and Water: Exhibition at Eames Farm

10am – 4pm

Come and see artwork inspired by Chichester Harbour created independently or at one of our workshops during the year; also work created by pupils from local secondary schools on the Conservancy’s sponsored art days. Many works for sale (25% to the Friends of Chichester Harbour). Last day Sunday 9 December.

Fee: Free entry, refreshments available.

Meet: The Stables Meeting Room, Eames Farm, Thorney Road, Thorney Island PO10 8DE. Free parking.

 

Sat 8 Dec Bird Watching by Solar Boat

12 noon / 1.5 hours

A gentle trip by solar powered boat to enjoy the harbour and look out for and identify the birds found in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Dress warmly, bring binoculars.

A stroll along the harbour shoreline taking time to observe and identify the birds that come to this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With Pete Potts, Senior Hampshire Ranger. Dress warmly and bring binoculars. No dogs.
